About this tour
Flying over Medellín is one of those experiences people talk about for years. You take off from San Félix, 2,800 metres above sea level, and for 15 to 30 minutes you glide with the whole Aburrá Valley underneath you — the city, the mountains and, on a clear morning, a horizon that goes on forever. Pilots are certified and the flight is tandem, so no experience is needed.
What we handle is everything around the flight: we pick you up at your hotel, drive the 45 minutes up to the launch site in Bello, wait while you fly, and bring you back. The classic ending is a food tasting on the way down: pan de chocha, the bread everyone stops for, with hot chocolate. The flight is included in the package: USD $101 per car plus USD $89 for each person who flies.

Do I need experience to paraglide?
None. Every flight is tandem with a certified pilot who handles take-off, flight and landing. You just have to walk a few steps at take-off.
How much does paragliding in Medellín cost?
It is a full package paid to Latidos: the private transfer is USD $101 per car (charged once, up to 4 people in the same vehicle) and each person who flies adds USD $89. In total: 1 person USD $190, 2 people USD $279, 3 people USD $368, 4 people USD $457 (about $600,000, $880,000, $1,160,000 and $1,440,000 COP). It covers the round trip, the flight and the pan de chocha with hot chocolate.
Can someone come along without flying?
Yes. The transfer is charged per car, so anyone who does not fly rides in the same vehicle at no extra cost: only USD $89 is added for each person who flies.
What is the best time of day to fly?
Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., when the winds are best. Flights depend on weather — if the wind cancels the day, we reschedule.
Is there a weight limit?
Most tandem pilots fly passengers up to around 100 kg. If you are close to that, tell us when you book and we will confirm it before your flight.
How do I book, and how fast do you reply?

How do I pay? Is there a deposit?
You hold any service with a 30% deposit and pay the rest at the end of the service, in cash, by credit card or by bank transfer (Nequi, Bancolombia), in Colombian pesos. If you are outside Colombia, you can pay the deposit by credit card. We send you the deposit details on WhatsApp when we confirm.
Does the driver speak English?
Our drivers are native Spanish speakers who handle conversational English for the key points of the route. If you want a fully bilingual guide, tell us when booking and we arrange one.
How far ahead should I book?
As soon as you have your dates. In high season (December and January, Holy Week and the Flower Festival in August) message us several days ahead; the rest of the year, write to us even if it is for tomorrow and we will tell you if there is availability.
What if we are more than 4?
The car, a Renault Sandero, comfortably carries 4 passengers. For larger groups we arrange a second vehicle with its own driver.
Can I change the date or cancel?
Yes. Moving the date or cancelling is just a WhatsApp message; we only ask for as much notice as you can give.
