About this tour
To understand the Medellín of today you have to know its darkest chapter. This tour visits the key places of the Medellín Cartel era with objective, respectful historical context — not glorification. The point is not the myth built by television series; it is what the city actually lived through, and how it climbed out.
We drive you through the Barrio Pablo Escobar, the site of the Mónaco building (demolished in 2019 and turned into a memorial park for the victims), the Montesacro cemetery and the neighbourhoods that carry that memory. The conversation along the way matters as much as the stops: what the violence cost, who paid for it, and what the city built afterwards.

That is the whole approach. We tell the history with context, without glorifying anyone. The Mónaco stop is now a memorial park dedicated precisely to the victims, and that framing runs through the entire tour.
How much does it cost?
USD $110 (about $350,000 COP) for the private vehicle, up to 4 people, including hotel pickup and a driver who knows the history and the locations.
Do we go inside any museum?
The route is mainly about locations and context. There are private museums run by relatives; we do not include them by default. If you want to add one, tell us and we will arrange it.
Can I combine it with Comuna 13?
Yes — and together they tell one complete story: what happened, and what the city built afterwards. Ask us for the combined day.
How do I book, and how fast do you reply?

How do I pay? Is there a deposit?
You hold any service with a 30% deposit and pay the rest at the end of the service, in cash, by credit card or by bank transfer (Nequi, Bancolombia), in Colombian pesos. If you are outside Colombia, you can pay the deposit by credit card. We send you the deposit details on WhatsApp when we confirm.
Does the driver speak English?
Our drivers are native Spanish speakers who handle conversational English for the key points of the route. If you want a fully bilingual guide, tell us when booking and we arrange one.
How far ahead should I book?
As soon as you have your dates. In high season (December and January, Holy Week and the Flower Festival in August) message us several days ahead; the rest of the year, write to us even if it is for tomorrow and we will tell you if there is availability.
What if we are more than 4?
The car, a Renault Sandero, comfortably carries 4 passengers. For larger groups we arrange a second vehicle with its own driver.
Can I change the date or cancel?
Yes. Moving the date or cancelling is just a WhatsApp message; we only ask for as much notice as you can give.
