Where is the meeting point?
There is no meeting point: we pick you up at your hotel or Airbnb in Medellín at the time you choose and take you back at the end. You do not have to make your own way to the neighbourhood.
How long does the tour take?
3 to 4 hours door to door, including the drive from your hotel. The walk through the neighbourhood takes 1.5 to 2 hours with breaks.
Is Comuna 13 safe to visit?
Yes. The graffiti tour area is now one of the most visited places in Medellín, full of travellers from all over the world, local businesses and artists. You go with a driver who knows the neighbourhood and its routes.
How is this different from a group walking tour?
On a group walking tour you make your own way to a meeting point, walk with strangers and follow the group schedule. With us you are picked up at your hotel, the vehicle is only for your group, you choose the time and you stay longer wherever you like. And the price is per vehicle: the same for 1 or for 4.
How much does the Comuna 13 tour cost?
The private tour is USD $110 (about $350,000 COP) for the vehicle, up to 4 people, including private transport, pickup at your accommodation, the escalators and the guided walk along the graffiti route.
What time should we go?
Early: the best mural photos happen before 11 a.m. and the escalators are quieter. You choose the pickup time, and 3 to 4 hours later you are back at your accommodation.
How much walking is involved?
The walking part takes 1.5 to 2 hours with breaks. You go up mostly on the escalators and walk back down among the murals. Wear comfortable shoes — the pace is yours.
Can I combine it with another tour the same day?

How do I book, and how fast do you reply?

How do I pay? Is there a deposit?
You hold any service with a 30% deposit and pay the rest at the end of the service, in cash, by credit card or by bank transfer (Nequi, Bancolombia), in Colombian pesos. If you are outside Colombia, you can pay the deposit by credit card. We send you the deposit details on WhatsApp when we confirm.
Does the driver speak English?
Our drivers are native Spanish speakers who handle conversational English for the key points of the route. If you want a fully bilingual guide, tell us when booking and we arrange one.
How far ahead should I book?
As soon as you have your dates. In high season (December and January, Holy Week and the Flower Festival in August) message us several days ahead; the rest of the year, write to us even if it is for tomorrow and we will tell you if there is availability.
What if we are more than 4?
The car, a Renault Sandero, comfortably carries 4 passengers. For larger groups we arrange a second vehicle with its own driver.
Can I change the date or cancel?
Yes. Moving the date or cancelling is just a WhatsApp message; we only ask for as much notice as you can give.
